Sania Musti

Sophomore

Bio

Hello, my name is Sania and I’m from Cary, NC. I am studying fashion and textile management with a concentration in brand management and marketing and a minor in business administration. So far, I have loved my experience at NC State and learned so much. A fun fact about me is that I used to teach elementary school students at my local tutoring center in my hometown! For this reason, I have always enjoyed mentoring and helping others so I am excited to be a student ambassador for the Wilson College of Textiles! From personal experience, I know what it is like to be a confused incoming or first-year student with several unanswered questions. I am enthused to help guide students and prepare them for a successful start in their careers!

Why Wilson?

From a young age, I always held a deep fascination for fashion, and cultivating my creative sense of style became an integral part of my identity. As this passion started to grow stronger, I quickly realized it that I could harness it for something bigger. I soon began to dream of pursuing a career in fashion marketing, a field that would balance my analytical skills in business with my appreciation for creative expression. During my college search senior year, I began to explore different schools around the U.S. that offered fashion business programs and I soon discovered that there was one just 30 minutes from my home! After looking at the course offerings, clubs, research opportunities, and study-abroad programs, I realized that the Wilson College of Textiles would be a great fit for me. This realization was further confirmed during the Centennial Scholarship Interview weekend, where I was able to learn more about the school and the place I could potentially have in it. Driving back home from those interviews, I knew that I was going to commit to NC State because the community, education, and opportunities offered by this school would allow me to grow out of my shell and pursue the career that I once dreamed of as a little girl.
